Steven Spiro has devoted over 30 years to his true calling, working with wood. Although functional, there is a spiritual, symbolic, and sensual aspect to each piece of furniture made by Spiro.
On the natural and worked surfaces of a Spiro piece one may find in laid planets, galaxies, moons, clouds, and fossils. Further finds would be geologic, subterranean, river, and desert imagery. "Trees are, after all a combination of earth, sun, water, starlight, clouds, and a myriad of other distinct elements," says Steven.
