David Kim had a noticeable talent at a young age (according to his middle school teacher). Therefore, he went to an "art high school," the Pusan Art High School. He then furthered his studies and received a degree from the Dong-A University of Art.
His work reflects a love of the Mediterranean region with its red-roofed homes and white stucco hillside villas, beaches, and gentle shorelines.
David Kim has his works on public display at places around Korea, such as the Office of the District Attorney Myung Soo Lim and the Office of the Congressman Bu Young Lee.
