Growing up in Jilin, China, Costa loved the arts starting at a very early age.
Costa's use of heavy palette knives, heavy textures, and strong color contrasts help give a full richness and life to his still-life paintings. He graduated from Yanbian Art College in 1991.
These modern impressionistic still-life works are eye-catching and are gaining popularity. He has been exhibited in the Jilin Province Art Exhibition, Chinese Artist Annual Exhibition, National Oil Painting Exhibition, 5th National Fine Art Expo, and the 6 People International Youth Oil Painting Exhibition and Group Exhibition at Beijing.
